Position Summary: As a product manager, you will shape and oversee the product's transition from design to manufacture. These products are primarily power related products such as rugged batteries, solar panels, and others specially designed for outdoor and military use. Dark Energy is looking for a sharp professional who is capable, independent, and detail-oriented.

Job Responsibilities: 

Product Development Responsibilities

• Develop product ideas based on customer interests and company direction.
• Take products from idea to prototype to mass production to refinement.
• Work with overseas and domestic suppliers throughout the development and manufacturing process.
• Solve problems as they arise and advise the rest of the company on technical product specifications.
• Travel overseas and to domestic suppliers to work with product team onsite, multiple times per year.

Project Management Responsibilities

• Work with overseas and domestic product team and factory engineers to define, optimize, and refine product designs (industrial, mechanical, electrical, software, etc.)
• Work with factory’s engineers, sales, and management teams to ensure our project requirements are continually kept as a highest priority in their minds and projects remain on schedule.
• Help get past factory excuses to discover the root of problems as they arise, and identify appropriate action plans to solve those problems.
• Develop innovative products on time and within budget constraints.

Required Experience: 

• Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Industrial Design major
• Proficient in CAD software programs
• 5 years of experience minimum
• Experience with PCBA, battery management systems, AC power systems, electronics, plastics, metals
• Must be an active outdoorsman
• Preference given to veterans
