Collection System Operator

Performs a variety of duties related to the maintenance and repair of the wastewater collection system.

Performs line cleaning and flushing; operates and maintains heavy line-cleaning equipment; may enter manholes to remove obstructions. Follows safety procedures and utilizes safe work practices in performing duties.

Operates and maintains sewer televising and cleaning equipment.

Performs general plant maintenance and cleaning of line equipment.

* Must possess Wastewater Collection System Operator Certification Grade I or be able to obtain within one year.

* Must possess or be able to obtain Class B CDL with tanker endorsement.

* Must be willing to work shift work and be on call.

* Must pass alcohol and drug test .

$20.00/hour entry level. Salary will depend on qualifications.
