Corner Canyon Health Centers is a Residential Treatment program for adults experiencing mental health concerns of all forms. We specialize in trauma and with the LGBTQIA+ population.
The Mentor is responsible for client safety, including knowing the physical location of all clients during their shift. They provide oversight to the house, run the daily program schedule, respond to crises, manage logistics of the house when needed, follow direction from the shift supervisor, take clients to scheduled appointments, and are responsible for direct client supervision.

Provides an example to clients for Life Skills and Role Modeling
Gaining a knowledge of program details, protocols and systems
Give and receive feedback from other staff members
First responder to crisis situations
Generating and maintaining emotional safety - protects culture
Builds relationships with clients and staff and looks for ways to create teamwork
Completing accurate, timely documentation of staff logs, incident reports, and as needed documentation
Relaying information about the shift to the Shift Supervisor for handoff
Following up on assigned tasks and returns and reports in a timely manner
Completing certifications assigned, including but not limited to: First-Aid, CPR, food
handler’s permit, tuberculosis test, de-escalation training, suicide prevention, infection
control, and general / specialty competencies
Working with Supervisors and House Manager for administrative and special assignments
Problem-solving unforeseen shift dilemmas
Dispensing of medications, per CCHC protocols
Administer Urine Analysis Screenings and Accessioning
Transporting clients per CCHC protocols
Updating Daily Client Schedule to include; Groups, Sessions, Urine Screenings, etc..
Attends weekly/bi-weekly staff meetings and trainings
Actively participates in the program improvement process by providing feedback to management
Remain alert and attentive the entire shift
Experience in the behavioral health field (preferred), but not required
Crisis prevention and de-escalation experience (preferred)
Exceptional relationship skills while maintaining ethical and professional boundaries
Dependable and reliable with an ability to maintain and manage assigned schedule
Proficiency in shift documentation, compliance tracking, and reporting.
Ability to problem-solve and adapt to the needs of the facility and clients.
Must be able to pass a background screening through DHHS
Must have 2 years driving experience
Swing Shifts are for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
