Western Companies has a full-time position available in its service department for a mechanic. Western offers its employees top wages, starting at $22/hour & going up to $30/hour. This position is responsible for repairing, rebuilding & maintaining all types of construction-based equipment. Including but not limited to, side dumps, belly dumps, equipment trailers & some truck equipment. Additional training is available!

• Knowledge of plumbing, air controls & hydraulic systems
• Ability to troubleshoot repairs & mechanical failures
• Install PTO/hydraulic pumps. Along with other various hydraulic repair work
• Knowledge on wiring trailer controls & truck wiring for controls
• Wet kit installation
• Suspension work
• Brake replacement
• Tarp system installs & repairs
• Some fabrication & welding required
• Involved in preventative maintenance programs per equipment & requirements

• Must be a self-starter
• Have strong organizational & time management skills
• Be dependable & on time for each shift
• Know how to read a tape measurer
• Have a basic set of hand tools that are needed to complete jobs
